Purple haze - the skirt b3597

After realising that there was enough fabric left for a skirt, I whipped one up. The waistline uses twill tape to keep it firm. There's no real waistband. I've used an invisible zipper. Sharon's advice to not iron the zipper really works a treat. Now that I've worn this skirt to work I will line it. The fabric sticks to my 'hose' when I walk.

What I'm toying with at the moment is added something to lift it. I usually don't embellish my skirts because that's not the feature area I want to 'feature.'

Once I placed this skirt on a hanger with a skirt I made last year, it was really evident, how much my waist has expanded. I'll ignore this while Christmas approaches.
I also went nuts and bought a stack of patterns online yesterday when they were $US2 each. I think that's a real sign of a sewing addict.
